Bryce Canyon, Utah

Driving up to Fort Lewis, Washington through Utah, Idaho, and Oregon allowed us to visit Bryce Canyon in southern Utah. The salmon colored hoodoos were spectacular. We need to go back there when we can spend a couple of days walking through the canyons and exploring the crevices of the fantasic rock formations.

Cherie was wow'ed by the beauty of the rocks and the abundance of wildlife in the park, where we saw deer, pronghorn antelope, and other manner of four-footed and feathered animals.

Hoodoo You Love?
You can't help but be impressed by the number of hoodoos and the awesome colors they present.

Trails weave through some of the popular sites, such as Sunset Point

And some of the trails wind down into the fissures among the rocks.

A natural arch of reds and oranges leads down to a sea of green pine trees

Different colored rocks predominate in different parts of the national park. This section had a good deal of white rocks, which pop against the salmon colored rock background.

And here yellow predominates in the rock formations


You can even drive through the rocks on the way into and out of the park
