Matt's Homecoming Party
Forty-seven of Matt's relatives and friends joined in the celebration of having him home for vacation.

Jon, far left, thought this was a "boys gone wild" party. Any party south of I-10 calls for a little shirt lifting now and again.

Clockwise from the bottom right: Jamie, Mike, Anna, Pegha, Jon, Pete, Shawn, Matt, Kevin, Mel, and Shelley

Mom, Mel, Matt, and Dad waited a long time for this day
Shelley was instrumental in getting the party started. She was the bartender for the night and she donated all her tips to Matt for phonecards in Iraq.

The party was a smashing success, if measured by the number of folks who got smashed. Watch the slideshow at right, or to pause, reverse, or manually advance the pictures, use the buttons above the slideshow.

Moms: "It's wasn't easy raisin' these kids"

Kids: "Looks easy to us ... hey, what's not to love?"

Mike, Anna, Cherie, Jamie, Mel, Matt, and Patty are all smiles

Time for some serious discussion

Jeanne, Pattie, Anna, and Dick find strategic advantage in sitting near the food table

While co-workers Joe, Debbie, Jim, Sharon, and Rich can't seem to leave work behind -- hey guys, it's a PARTY!

Mike hugs a couple of his favorite women
And Matt gives Dawn a big hug ...
or maybe he was helping her stand up, we're not sure

Shawn and Matt must be starting in on the Bud-wei-sers ... are there any flies, er, fries, to go with the beer?

Cheryl was kind enough to be the photographer for the evening. She found her husband, Joe, with his arm wrapped around Linda, below...

...and Basil hiding Marilee and his food from Jamie, right.

Cherie and Jamie survey the damage at the end of the party.
The liquor bottles are empty, Jamie's belly is full, and both are feeling a little fuzzy around the edges.
The picture says it all.
