A Bisbee Stairclimb We combined moutain climbing and a visit to an art community by going on part of the famous Bisbee Stairclimb. Cherie saw this as an opportunity to work up a thirst to quench on the Hot Lick's bar patio. |
The start point was the steps leading up to the classic Copper Queen Hotel in Old Bisbee. Here we are all smiling and rested ... that lasted for about 15 minutes.

The children, meanwhile, are always the hungriest of the group. We stopped at the old Mimosa Market for some sandwiches and sodas. Matt showed he is still a kid at heart by sprouting horns over his head. Mouse over the photo to see Matt and Mel relax in the sun. |
The gang returns from climbing something like 500 steps up the steep Bisbee hills ... and is ready for some cool beverages under the warm Arizona sun. Hot Licks Barbeque is just the spot to rest our tired dogs. |

Mike figures if Jessie isn't going to use her sunglasses on the Copper Queen patio, left, he might as well, below. The CQ offers a great people-watching view of the town. Sometimes the people watching are as exotic as the watchees. |
