Banana Walnut Bread

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole-wheat flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp baking soda
4 egg whites
1 cup mashed bananas
½ cup buttermilk
1/3 cup applesauce
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup chopped walnuts

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Lightly coat a 9 x 3-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.

3. In a large bowl, combine first six ingredients; set aside.

4. In another large bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Add bananas, buttermilk, applesauce and vinilla. Stir into dry ingredients until just blended. Add nuts.

5. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until golden.
